Mckenzie Foundation
Category: General
DescriptionThe Foundation primarily supports programs in the areas of education, health, human services, culture, and environmental concerns. Four initiatives will shape the Foundation’s giving over the next several years: early childhood education, education, the environment, and arts and culture. Of particular interest are charitable efforts that inspire excellence and encourage personal development. The Foundation also recognizes the power of the arts and culture to nurture the vitality of people of all ages and backgrounds. The Foundation is interested in projects or programs, which can serve as “catalytic agents in their fields,” and those that will continue to impact the issue after the project is complete. Letters of inquiry are requested and reviewed on an ongoing basis. Requests for $5,000 and under are considered at any time while amounts larger than that are considered once a year at the Foundation’s board meeting usually held in August.
