DescriptionThe Foundation is dedicated to fostering the awareness and appreciation of contemporary visual art. It does this by supporting catalogues and other publications that document exhibitions of work by emerging or under-recognized artists. Projects that attempt to bring together artists and the community; those that support artists from marginalized populations; and those that provide exposure to contemporary art where it may not otherwise be seen are of particular interest. Catalogues and other publications published by smaller organizations outside of the nation’s cultural centers are also of interest. Requests for grants for projects that take place within a year of the request will be given priority consideration. Proposals are reviewed semi-annually, in the spring and the fall. Letters of inquiry are required before submitting a proposal. Check the Web site for additional details.
