Bernard Van Leer Foundation
Category: International
DescriptionThe Foundation’s grants support organizations that create significant positive change for children up to the age of eight who are growing up in circumstances of social and economic disadvantage. Grants are made in three areas: strengthening the care environment; making successful transitions (the continuum from home to school); and social inclusion and respect for diversity. The Foundation does not fund every issue area in every country. A list of countries and the issues areas funded is available on the Web site. In the United States, the Foundation only funds projects under the Transitions category.
