Description

The Foundation’s Arts Teachers Fellowship Program supports the artistic revitalization of outstanding arts teachers. The Foundation’s goal is to help arts teachers in public arts high schools increase their effectiveness as they guide and train young people for careers or advanced study in the visual, performing, and literary arts. The Foundation believes that if teachers can immerse themselves in their own creative work and interact with professional artist/colleagues, they will bring new ideas and practices to their classroom. Arts teachers working in specialized public arts high schools and arts-focused magnet and charter high schools can apply for grants of up to $5,500 in support of artistic growth, with a complementary grant of $1,500 provided to each fellow’s school for post-fellowship activities. Twenty awards will be made. Letters of intent are due by the deadline. Complete information is available on the Web site.
