Patagonia Environmental Grant Program

Category

: Environment

Description

The environment is the Company’s sole funding interest. Its environmental grant program financially assists small, grassroots activist organizations with provocative direct-action agendas, working on multi-pronged campaigns to protect the environment. Of particular interest are those organizations that identify and work on the root causes of problems and those that approach issues with a commitment to long-term change. The Foundation is interested in innovative groups that are producing measureable results as well as efforts that force the government to abide by its own – and our own – laws. Groups working to protect local habitats in the United States as well as those in Argentina, Austria, Belgium Canada, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom are eligible to apply. Proposals are accepted through the Company’s Web site during the months of April and August and must be submitted by April 30 or August 31 each year. Applications are accepted year-round at local retail Patagonia stores.
