Marijuana Policy Project

DescriptionThe Project supports efforts, which foster measurable changes in U.S. public policy that lead to marijuana’s being regulated similarly to alcohol and to drug’s availability for medical use. Proposals are sought in a variety of fields including the diagnostic and statistical manual; grassroots organizing in targeted states and congressional districts; local marijuana ballot initiatives and legislation; and marijuana research. The program does not fund political parties or candidates for office, state ballot initiatives, or hemp-related projects. Grant deadlines are three times a year including Sept. 1, 2008 and Jan. 1, 2009. Letters of inquiry are requested.
