Description

The Company’s 2008 Hope for Education Contest supports K-12 schools throughout the United States by providing the latest technology products to assist in the educational process. To enter the Contest, students, teachers, or parents may submit a 100-word essay about how technology benefits and helps education. The essay should answer the question, “How has technology educated you on helping the environment and how or why has it changed your behavior to be more environmentally friendly?” In 2008, the Contest will provide more than $2 million worth of technology, software, cash grants, and educational television programming. The top winner will receive a grand prize of over $200,000 worth of Samsung technology, Microsoft software, and cash grants from DIRECTV as well as the SCHOOL CHOICE educational television programming package. Home schools and postsecondary schools are not eligible to apply. An official entry form is available online.
