DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the software company. It supports nonprofit organizations involved in education, health and human services, and arts and culture. The majority of the Foundation’s funds are directed to grantees to support the productive use of technology in programs and processes. The Foundation is concerned with the technology gap caused by lack of access to hardware, software, connectivity, and competent training in the productive application of technology. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on supporting comprehensive technology solutions that increase performance and productivity in educational institutions and community organizations around the world. According to the Foundation, a technology solution would integrate access, content, technical infrastructure, professional development, and evaluation. The remainder of the funding will be directed to general program support. Grants are awarded to programs that have a current EDS Employee Volunteer Partnership.
