DescriptionThe Foundation is a partnership of major donors interested in solving the world’s energy problems. Its mission is to advance energy efficiency and renewable energy by funding new technologies that are essential components of a clean energy future. The Foundation’s focus is on the United States and China. A brief letter of inquiry that describes the project and the amount requested is encouraged if the organization is unsure whether or not the project meets the Foundation’s interests. If the project is a good fit, the organization is encouraged to complete an application. The Foundation’s board meets three times a year, the first week of March, the third week of June, and the first week of November. A list of major donors as well as additional information is available on the Web site.
