John M. Lloyd Foundation

Category

: International

Description

The Foundation seeks to increase funding from both the public and private sectors to address the HIV/AIDS pandemic, both globally and domestically. It also looks to improve domestic and international policies that will apply universal protections of human rights to issues concerning HIV/AIDS. The Foundation is also interested in expanding access to HIV/AIDS healthcare and treatment and ensuring access to accurate information about HIV/AIDS. It also seeks to amplify global awareness of HIV/AIDS and facilitate broad-based change in attitudes to reduce the disease’s stigma and change behavior. Projects that develop leadership of organizations that fight HIV/AIDS as well as to foster collaborations among those organizations and leaders are also of interest. The Foundation’s grantmaking is targeted toward locally focused programs in California; U.S.-based projects with a national or global scope; and international projects. The Foundation prefers that concept letters be sent via e-mail.
