DescriptionThe Fund’s priority is on eliminating the significant risks posed by emerging nuclear technology. Funding is targeted toward research projects and education efforts directed to policymakers, the media, and the public. The Fund supports peacekeeping efforts and research, public education, and advocacy on nuclear weapons and security issues. Specific grant programs are directed toward ending the threat from nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons; stopping the spread of weapons of war; addressing the environmental legacy of the nuclear age; promoting public understanding and participation; and preventing global and regional conflict.
