Description

Founded by movie director, Stephen Spielberg after directing "Schindler's List," the Foundation is guided by the belief that the 3,500-year-old Jewish Story has resonance today. The Foundation supports efforts to build a vibrant, just, and inclusive Jewish community in the United States. Focused on organizations and projects that are national in scope, the Foundation focuses its grantmaking on contributing to a fuller, more expansive Jewish Story by shining a light on the vibrancy, complexity, and diversity of Jewish life and the meaning it holds. It also emphasizes programs that express the Jewish value of human dignity by building relationships across religious divides to reduce antisemitism and racialized hate. Also of interest are programs that strengthen faith-rooted moral leadership and advance social justice. The Foundation accepts letters of inquiry twice a year. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
