DescriptionThe Fund supports community organizations working on issues of racial, social, and economic justice in the Chicago area. Through its Seed Fund, the Organization supports new, emerging, and/or small community-based organizations that are actively engaged in social change work that is often too radical for most funders. Funding is awarded for general operating support, start-up costs, or project expenses. The Fund supports work rooted in communities in the Chicago metropolitan area and pools resources of individuals, foundations, and businesses, building a broad base of support for grassroots organizations for social change.
