Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the mental health professional Organization. The Foundation's Wayne F. Placek grants seek to increase the general public's understanding of homosexuality and sexual orientation, and to alleviate the stress that lesbian women, gay men, bisexual women, bisexual men, and transgender individuals experience in this and future civilizations. The Foundation will award two grants this year. One of these grants will be focused on psychological research into issues concerning Black lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender/queer/intersex individuals that is conducted by scholars of color. Types of research funded and additional information including application instructions can be found on the Web site.
