DescriptionEstablished in 2006 to support grassroots groups with inspiring ideas, the Foundation was created by Gary Erickson and Kit Crawford, the founder and co-creators of Clif Bar & Company. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on the following areas: strengthening the food system; enhancing equitable community health outcomes; and safeguarding our environment and natural resources. Requests must address two or more of the funding priorities at the same time; demonstrate strong community ties and operate within viable and clearly defined plans for positive change.
