Laing Family Trusts
Category: International
DescriptionThe Trusts were established in 1952 by the founder of a global construction Company who was a devout Christian. The Trusts are a group of four grantmaking Trusts: Beatrice Lang Trust, Kirby Laing Foundation, Maurice and Hilda Laing Charitable Trust, and Martin Laing Foundation, based in the United Kingdom. Granting priorities include the advancement of the evangelical Christian faith, at home and abroad, and the relief of poverty. Grants are also awarded to organizations offering practical services to those who are disadvantaged and vulnerable; to organizations providing practical services to people with physical, mental, and learning difficulties; and to organizations fostering small-scale development projects aimed at building the capacity of local partners to provide long-term solutions to problems in the developing world.
