Description

The Foundation's Syringe Service Program supports comprehensive harm reduction programs throughout the country that improve the health and wellness of people who use drugs, including programs that provide free sterile syringes, education, and community wrap-around services to reduce opioid overdose and the transmission of HIV and viral hepatitis. Support is provided to nonprofits in the 50 states, District of Columbia, Native American reservations and tribal lands and Puerto Rico that operate syringe service programs that have been in operation for one full year before application submission. Applicants should have a total organizational budget of less than $600,000 and be grounded in harm education principles and practice.
