Description

The Foundation's Reef Rescue and Rapid Response Fund helps support divers' immediate response to coral reef damage from anchor drops, vessel groundings, oil spills, and local, anthropogenic and acute impact to coral reefs. Grants seek to empower the dive community to act as first responders to issues affecting coral reefs. Grants will support divers and their communities in responding quickly to a reef-damaging incident by helping cover immediate costs. Divers help conduct damage assessments and documentation for future litigation and restoration; the collection and initial care of coral fragments for regrowth, and the uprighting of larger corals that may recover in situ. The Foundation also awards Conservation Priority Grants by invitation only. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
