Description

Founded by one of the creators of Subway Subs sandwich franchise, this private family Foundation serves nonprofits in Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties in Florida as well as national organizations. The Foundation addresses crucial needs by investing in partners that accelerate economic mobility, educational attainment, and health. The Foundation's Scholarship Program provides support to programs that provide scholarships for underserved students, including the homeless, youth aging out of foster care, low-income, individuals with disabilities, etc. The Foundation is interested in investing in programs that help students earn a four-year degree and provide wrap-around support for the students as they matriculate through school. Organizations that support certifications and vocational degrees will be reviewed, but those that provide additional support for students to complete a bachelor's degree will be prioritized. Direct service organizations, community foundations, schools, and educational organizations are eligible to apply. Complete program guidelines and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
