The Foundation invests in people - enriching lives while strengthening the foundations of a free and prosperous society. At the core, the Foundation's grant priorities are about strengthening the roots of civil society, so that everyone has access to opportunity. Grants seek to improve the well-being of North Carolinians by advancing the ideas of limited government, individual freedom, personal responsibility, and strong communities. Grants are awarded in four areas: Public Policy, Education, Human Services, and The Arts. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on organizations and programs in North Carolina.
