Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation

DescriptionThe philanthropic arm of the Grocery Store, the Foundation focuses its grantmaking in the communities where the Company has stores. Grants are awarded to hunger relief organizations operating within a 20-mile radius of a Food Lion Store. The Foundation seeks to reduce the number of children at risk of hunger by helping feeding agencies increase their "fresh" capacity so families can put nutritious meals on their tables. Grants are intended to be used for the purchase of food in support of the applying organizations' hunger relief efforts. Stores in Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia are eligible to apply.
