DescriptionThe Foundation envisions a world of equality and opportunity for all those who identify as girls+ or women so that they can participate fully in their communities, have the chance to make choices about their lives and to reach their full potential, and contribute to justice in the world. The Foundation supports women and girls+ (including transgender, nonbinary, and gender queer), specifically focusing on projects designed to strengthen the education, independence, and/or socioeconomic stability, children, and youth, especially girls. The Foundation also supports efforts to protect and preserve the natural environment. Grantmaking is limited to the Massachusetts cities of Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, and Somerville.
