Description

The Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that all Michigan residents thrive economically and have access to world-class educational resources. The Foundation prioritizes its grantmaking to fund nonprofit organizations dedicated to ending poverty and reducing Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) individuals in Michigan. The Foundation's People Awards provide grants to Michigan nonprofits that address Basic Needs, Education, or Workforce Readiness. Basic Needs grants are awarded to nonprofits that care for Michigan's most vulnerable populations. Education grants focus on pre=K through higher education, with an emphasis on early childhood programs and college readiness. Workforce Readiness grants support programs encouraging students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and skilled labor jobs in Michigan. Grant awards are primarily targeted to programs, projects and communities in the state's Lower Peninsula. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
