DescriptionThe Foundation's mission is to plant seeds that develop leaders in economicology, health, education, and arts, and enhance the lives of people in West Michigan and around the world. Created by the founder of Metal Office Furniture (now known as Steelcase), the Foundation awards grants in the following areas: Arts and Culture, the Environment, Education, and Community Health and Wellbeing. If the project request contains a capital campaign element, funded projects must be LEED certified. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on Kent County, the Grand Rapids, Mich., metropolitan area, and Western Michigan. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
