DescriptionThe Foundation is a public organization dedicated to preserving open space throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Foundation's Get Outdoors Fund provides grants for projects that increase equitable access to safe open space in Virginia's communities that have not been adequately served by land conservation programs. The Fund supports studies, planning, concept development, capacity building, and infrastructure to enable safe use of or access to public open spaces, as well as for land acquisition. The intent of the Fund is to serve as a flexible, adaptable tool to be utilized to address communities' needs. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
