Description

Established in 1995 with the proceeds of the sale of Alleghany Regional Hospital, the Foundation supports community improvements within the hospital's former service area. Grantmaking is targeted toward programs and projects that contribute to a healthy community. Grants are awarded in the following areas: Economic Transformation, Educational Excellence, Health and Wellness, Community Capacity, and Leadership and Civic Vitality. Details about each of the programs and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
