Description

Founded by the owner/operator of the American Ferment Company, a pharmaceutical business, the Foundation focuses its grantmaking in three areas: medical research, science, and post-secondary medical education; services for vulnerable children and children with disabilities; and older adults and vulnerable adults. Medical research grants are awarded to nonprofits located in Buffalo, NY, Toronto, Canada and Hendersonville, NC. Grants for vulnerable and disabled children to assist them in graduating from high school are awarded in Buffalo NY and Hendersonville NC. Grants for older and vulnerable adults to help them maintain independent, healthy and active lifestyles are awarded in Buffalo NY and Hendersonville NC.
