The Foundation is dedicated to enriching the health, education, environment, cultural, and spiritual life of the residents of New Mexico. The Foundation accepts online applications for community-based projects in the state related to its nine priorities. Priorities are based on a real ability to influence positive change in the near term and the probability that change in these specific areas will lead to broader system change in the longer term. Grants are awarded in the following areas: Capacity Building in the Nonprofit Sector, Economic Development and Family Asset Building, Education Transformation, Leveraging Opportunities in Health Care, Local Food Industry Development, Building Links Between Arts and Community Engagement, Stewardship in the Community, Influencing Planning of Built Environments, and Strategies for Rural Development. The Foundation awards general operating support grants and discretionary grants. Visit the Web site to learn more about each of the priorities and for application instructions.
