DescriptionNamed for Stephen Barney, a portfolio liaison with American Century Mutual Funds, and his wife Lynne, the Foundation seeks to offer people and opportunity for a new beginning. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on early childhood education (primarily in grades K-8) and health research (primarily cancer and Alzheimer's). Grants are awarded to help educate youth and support medical research advancements for the good of all. Applications are accepted from January 1 through June 30.
