DescriptionThe Foundation, established in 1993, is a private, family Foundation based in Little Rock, AR. The Foundation strives to advance contemporary craft and strengthen visual arts in the United States. It also supports children and youth in the state of Arkansas. The Foundation awards grants in the following areas: strengthen visual arts in colleges and universities; advance contemporary craft; and expand visual arts in K-12 schools. Strengthening visual arts grants support artist residencies, visiting artists or fellowships; visual arts programming and scholarships; materials, tools, or equipment: and programs addressing equity in health, nutrition, shelter, and education in Arkansas. Advancing contemporary craft and visual arts grants support fellowships, residencies, or career development programs for craft artists; contemporary craft programming, educational outreach and scholarships; materials, tools or equipment for craft programs; and museum acquisitions of contemporary craft by living artists. Expanding K-12 visual arts grants support visual art-integrated programs through nonprofits which develop creative, innovative ways of learning; and visual art integrated training or professional development programs for teachers and school leaders.
