DescriptionFor more than 40 years, the Institute has been a leader in the research, design, and implementation of a regenerative economy. The Institute promotes sustainable homes, workplaces, and communities through education, research, advocacy, and technical assistance. The Institute's GoodUse Grants fund the incremental cost of energy or water efficiency project upgrades in the Southeast United States. These matching grants help organizations with facility and operational upgrades that increase resource efficiency, lower expenses, and improve indoor health. Applying organizations must own a building or have a long-term lease of at least five years. They also must be able to provide a 1:1 or 2:1 match (depending upon the size of their operating budget).
