DescriptionThe Organization is a nonprofit, regional arts organization that works to empower artists, organizations, and communities, and increase access to arts and culture. The Organization's Southern Prize and State Fellowships are designed to acknowledge, support, and celebrate the highest quality artistic work being created in the American South. The Prize and Fellowships are open to individual artists living in the South Arts region of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The Prize and Fellowships are only open to visual artists at this point. The Organization will award nine fellowships and two prizes, one to a finalist and one to a runner-up.
