Description

The Foundation supports arts and culture, education, health and hospitals, Jewish causes, and social welfare programs in greater Boston. Founded by a businessman who created Kay Windsor, Inc., which manufactured and imported a variety of women's apparel, the Foundation makes grants in two traditional areas of interest: Disability Inclusion and Youth in the Arts. The Foundation is also making exploratory grants in Early Childhood and Empowerment. Disability Inclusion grants are awarded in four areas of focus: assistive technology, sports and recreation, under-served populations, and addressing systemic barriers. Youth in Arts Initiative grants seek to increase access and participation for those youth who many not otherwise have had the opportunity to become involved in the arts. The Youth in Arts Initiative also supports the growth and development of youth as artists, as individuals, as students, and as participants in their communities through their involvement in high quality youth arts programs. Additional information on funding priorities and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
