Vermont Community Foundation

Description

The Foundation's Walter Cerf Community Fund is named for a professor of philosophy at Brooklyn College and a World War II immigrant from Germany. The Fund awards grants in support of charitable needs in the state of Vermont, with priority given to the arts, education, historic preservation, and social services. Priority will be given to work that addresses the needs of underserved populations and proposals that encourage cooperation, collaboration, and community building. Approximately 70 percent of the funding will be awarded to programs in Addison County or Brandon with the remaining 30 percent available to support statewide programs and projects. Applicants must either have a statewide constituency and make a unique contribution to Vermont or be located in Addison County or Brandon.
