Sage Garden Project Awards

Description

The Project is dedicated to helping underserved public California elementary schools by providing funding for gardening and cooking educators. The funded educator is required to teach experiential garden and nutrition lessons to all students during the school day. The Year One Award of $15,000 includes a fully-equipped cooking cart, Sage Garden Project curriculum, teaching training, and ongoing support for educators. The Years Two and Three Awards of $15,000 provide continued funding for a total of two to three years to elementary schools based on successful program implementation and impact. The Year Four Plus Award will provide 10 schools with funding of up to $10,000 for their fourth and fifth years. Additional information and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
