Description

Created by one of Washington's leading commercial and residential builders from the early 1920s to the 1960s, the Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life for all Washington, DC metropolitan area residents. The Foundation's philanthropy works to create a more equitable region. Grants are awarded in the following areas: arts and humanities, community services, education, environment, and health. Grants are provided to nonprofits in the District of Columbia, Prince George and Montgomery counties in Maryland; and Arlington and Fairfax counties and the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church in Virginia. The Foundation generally does not fund capital requests. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
