Description

The Prize is an international award focusing on water-related scientific innovation that is judged by leading scientists around the world. There are four specialized prizes of $133,000: Surface Water Prize (which covers every aspect of the study and development of surface water resource); Groundwater Prize (which awards work related to all aspects of the study and development of groundwater resources); Alternative Water Resources Prize (which addresses desalination, waste water treatment, and other nontraditional sources of water) and Water Management and Resources Prize (which covers the use management, and protection of water resources). There is also a Creativity Prize worth $266,000 for cutting-edge interdisciplinary scientific work that can rightly be considered a breakthrough in any water-related field. All nominations are made online through an application form found on the Web site.
