Description

The Foundation was founded by the state of Minnesota's first Episcopal Deaconess, Sister Annette Relf in the late 1880s. The Foundation provides grants to Minnesota nonprofits that benefit children and families who have the least access to resources. The Foundation supports high-quality, direct service programs for children, ages 0 to 12, in the areas of early childhood and youth development. It also supports advocacy efforts that increase access to high-quality, culturally appropriate early childhood care as well as out-of-school time opportunities for education and youth development. The Foundation also awards small grants of $1,000 to Minnesota Episcopal congregations to support their efforts in building potential for vulnerable children. All applicants must be based in Minnesota and provide services to residents of the state. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
