The Foundationís grantmaking is earmarked for organizations in Georgia Pacific corporate operating locations, with an emphasis on the Atlanta, Ga., area. Funding priorities include education, community enrichment, environment, and local giving. Education issues funded include adult and family literacy, school-to-work/job readiness programs, and technical training. Community enrichment grants are given for housing/historic preservation, the arts, and violence prevention. Environmental grants are targeted toward resource conservation, parks/nature trails/recreation areas, and environmental education. Applications are accepted between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31. Organizations in Georgia-Pacific communities in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin are eligible to apply.
