Description

The Foundation focuses its grantmaking in the areas of early childhood education and the community. Priority is given to early childhood projects that support a healthy start for children; the development of high-quality, early childhood education and quality childcare centers, and projects that foster positive, responsible family development. Under the community category, projects that help community organizations build their independence and those that contribute to building strong and self-sufficient citizens are of particular interest. Funds are awarded to community foundations, libraries, YMCAs and YWCAs, parks, festivals, summer camps, museums, and organizations that support the needy. Organizations in Indiana, Iowa, Alabama, and Tennessee are eligible to apply. A one- to two-page preproposal letter is requested.
