Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust

Description

The Trust is named for the former chairman of the banking house of Kleinwort, Sons & Company, which is now part of Societe General Group. The Trust’s Medium Grant Program seeks to make a difference. Grants are awarded for care of the elderly, disability, general welfare, hospices, international reproductive health, international wildlife and environmental conservation, and youth. Priority is given to charitable work in the county of Sussex, wildlife and environmental conservation in the United Kingdom and internationally, and reproductive health. In the reproductive health category, funding will only be considered for family planning projects delivering in Africa and Asia, and preferably in areas where there is clear impact on the environment. Principal support is given to charities for start-up costs, core costs, or for a specific project for which applicants have requested support. Interested applicants can apply via the Web site.
