DescriptionThe Foundation’s grantmaking supports projects that seek to catalyze improvements in health and health disparities in Montana communities. The Foundation’s focus areas include behavioral health, American Indian health, and partnerships for a better health. Grants in the behavioral health topic support collaborative, systems-based solutions to behavioral health disorders in Montana. American-Indian health grants support projects that strengthen the healthcare systems serving American-Indian communities and address the upstream social, economic, and educational challenges that drive health disparities in those communities. Partnerships for Better Health grants support innovative pilot projects or community-based initiatives that demonstrate how collaboration between hospitals, community health centers, public health departments, and other community-based organizations can yield synergistic improvements in health, as well as a more efficient use of resources.
