National Science Teachers Association

Description

The Association, with support from Shell Oil Company, invites nominations for the Shell Science Teaching Award, an annual program that recognizes and outstanding classroom science teacher (K-12) who has had a positive impact on his or her students, school, and community through exemplary classroom teaching. Nominees must be a classroom teacher whose responsibilities include teaching science. Nominees must have a minimum of eight years of experience (not including the current school year) as a teacher of science, and must each in a private or public school in the United States, a U.S. territory, a Department of Defense school, or in Canada. The award includes a $10,000 cash prize and an all-expense trip to attend the Association’s national conference; two finalists will also receive all expense paid trips to the conference.
