Doris Day Animal Foundation

Animals & Wildlife

The Foundation makes grants to nonprofits for animal welfare, human assistance animals, the care and feeding of animals, and pet adoption and rescue. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on helping animals and the people who love them, usually in a manner that helps the animals as directly as possible. A primary focus of the Foundation is assisting senior companion animals for food, care, veterinary costs, or need for adoption. Letters of introduction are required for first-time applicants; letters are accepted only the first month of each quarter January, April, July, and October. Check the Web site for additional information.
