Description

The Foundation was established by Mrs. Charles Samuel Jackson, the wife of the founder of the daily newspaper, The Oregon Journal. The Foundation works to promote the health and welfare of the citizens of Oregon, with special emphasis on the Portland metro area. The Foundation does not make grants to K-12 schools and will only consider projects located outside of the Portland metropolitan area if the project is of statewide appeal rather than local concern. US Bank is the Foundation’s trustee. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
