DescriptionThe Foundation engages in activities and applies its resources guided by the founder’s ideals and the following principles: seek the greatest impact, support community-driven solutions, foster collaboration, take action, commit to outcomes, and learn and improve. The Foundation pursues its mission through three impact areas: Youth Pathways to Success, Economic Growth and Opportunities, and Strong and Vibrant Communities. The Foundation also considers requests outside of its three primary areas to fund projects with high potential for impact and learning. Grants are awarded primarily in the Omaha, Neb., metro area and across the state of Nebraska. The Foundation also makes grants in the portion of Western Iowa within 100 miles of Omaha as well as other geographies of interest to the founder, specifically Rancho Mirage, Calif., and Sheridan, Wyo.
