Description

The Foundation was created from the estate of Congressman and CEO of the Littauer Glove Company, Lucius Littauer. The Foundation makes grants in the areas of education, social welfare, health care, the environment, arts and culture, Jewish communal life and Jewish studies. The Foundation also supports organizations that work nationally, particularly in the field of education and Jewish studies (if the organizations are based in the New York area). Organizations based outside the United States must be affiliated with a U.S.-based nonprofit in order to receive support. An online application and some additional information can be found on the Web site.
