The Foundation is committed to humanitarian, educational, cultural, and civic and public organizations in the Manitowoc, Wisconsin area. Founded by the CEO of the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company and his wife, the Foundation will not make grants for political organizations or political purposes; churches or organizations whose primary purpose is religion; undergraduate parochial, public, or private schools; institutions of higher learning; or for projects proposed or supported by veteran’s organizations, social organizations, or fraternal organization. The Foundation has also denied requests from applicants geographically remote from the Manitowoc, Wisconsin area. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
