Description

The Foundation’s grantmaking is focused on the San Francisco Bay area. The Foundation’s Community Arts Program supports Bay Area artists who are creating new and innovative work that’s representative of the diverse cultures and communities of the region. Grants of up to $7,500 will be awarded to projects in the areas of dance, theater, visual arts, music, festivals, poetry, literature, and publications. Priority will be given to contemporary, performance-oriented projects. Eligible applicants must be located or serve nonprofit arts organizations in San Francisco, Contra Costa, or Alameda counties. Individual artists may apply but must have a fiscal sponsor in order to be funded. While the Foundation makes grants in other categories, the Community Arts category is the only one that it solicits applications for. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
