DescriptionThe Foundation recognizes individuals and institutions that have developed innovative means of sparking and sustaining a lifelong love of reading. Through its Innovations in Reading Prize, applicants -- individuals, institutions or a partnership between the two -- are awarded $10,000 to acknowledge their work to generate excitement and a passionate engagement with books and literature. The Foundation focuses its Prize on individuals and institutions that use particularly innovative methods to demonstrate a commitment to literature and the promotion of reading for its own sake. Any citizen of the U.S. and any American institution is eligible for the Prize. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
